Future Development
Today’s media industry differs from the
past. Internationalization, audience diversity and regionalization are other
important ways to develop. Local cable TV stations, radio stations, the
development of network technology, and the full opening of digital TV all
signal significant changes in the geographical region limitation.
Digital generation is a defining moment for
traditional media, breakthrough transmission capacity, speed, and quality,
which enhances communication services. The blurring of media boundaries and
convergence are inevitable trends.
The following conditions are considered
necessities for people who work in this industry: first, the problem-solving
ability for society's needs, then adaptable capabilities for future changes,
and most of all, the way to think of diversity, digitalization, integration,
and refinement. Realizing this, the department established a graduate school

"theory," "practice," "humanities," and
"technology," positioning itself as a center for cultivating
communication professionals in southern Taiwan and a hub for knowledge
management across industries, government, and academia.
